This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!

My 10,000th photograph!
Fri Oct 19, 2007, 5:56 AM
I took my 10,00th photo on my Rebel XT, after only 14 months. I meant to save this momentous ocassion for a really cool photo of myself at some key location in Japan, but I kind of forgot. I'll have to save that for the 15,000th or 50,000th photo, I guess.
Oh, yeah: I moved to Japan.

Thanks for your great comments on 'Studio Boron 4am' and 'Aphid Birth.' Yes, aphids reproduce asexually which explains why there are sooo many of them. Love open source and Linux but all of my photo stuff is still done in Windows. Before you pull out your samurai sword, it is because I have been using Photoshop for years and am comfortable with it. I would love to see a Linux version of photoshop (and photomatix).

I have to agree with you, at least in part - all of the RAW processing software I've used on Linux has been very difficult to understand... Maybe that's just the interface? I don't mind the GIMP (most likely because I didn't get into digital imaging until *after* I got into OSS, meaning I used the GIMP before I tried Photoshop), but I often find myself wishing for better RAW and fractal software. Still, cheers from another Linux user!
